Springfield Symphony continues innovative Classics on Tap series for 2018-2019 season

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Springfield Symphony will continue its innovative outreach program, Classics on Tap, on Tuesday, November 13th, 2018 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Mother’s Brewing Company.

Classics on Tap is a quarterly music and beer tasting series that tours different local breweries in the Springfield area,” said Lexi Locke, marketing manager for the Springfield Symphony. “The tour will feature various small ensembles of Symphony musicians at each event.” The upcoming series event will feature the Springfield Symphony Orchestra Trombone Quartet.  Entry at the door is $10 per person and all proceeds benefit the Symphony, and attendees will receive a Buy One Get One ticket voucher for any Symphony concert in the 2018-2019 season!

“The Classics on Tap program is a program that orchestras around the country are currently doing to expand their audiences,” explained Locke. “What makes our series unique is we want to make this a quarterly brewery tour to help promote not only the quality of music the Symphony is performing, but our local breweries here in Springfield as well.”

For more information on this event or other events like it, visit the Symphony website at www.springfieldmosymphony.org or by call the Symphony office at 417.864.6683.  Classics on Tap aims to raise the profile of the Springfield Symphony among new and younger audiences, to cultivate community pride for the Symphony and the professional musicians it hires, and to generate interest among new audience members.
