Springfield Symphony awarded Ball Foundation Grant

Thank you to the Ball Foundation and Central Trust Company for awarding us a grant to help further our education and outreach programs to our community.

The Springfield Symphony Orchestra was awarded $10,000 from the Stanley & Elaine Ball Foundation, managed by Central Trust Company, A Division of the Central Trust Bank on November 1, 2023. The grant funds will support the symphony’s ongoing mission to enhance educational opportunities and/or provide support for disadvantaged children. This substantial grant will be instrumental in enabling the Springfield Symphony Orchestra to continue its work in the community, supporting the following initiatives:

  • Educational Outreach: The grant will bolster the Orchestra’s educational programs, which aim to inspire the next generation of musicians and music enthusiasts through workshops, school concerts, and youth engagement initiatives.
  • Community Engagement: The Springfield Symphony Orchestra is dedicated to bringing music to all corners of our community. The grant will aid in furthering our outreach programs to underserved populations, ensuring that everyone has access to the beauty and power of orchestral music.

Jennifer Cotner-Jones, Executive Director of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, expressed her gratitude for the Stanley and Elaine Ball Foundation saying, “We are deeply honored and appreciative of The Ball Foundation’s generosity. This grant will have a lasting impact on our organization and help us bring the joy of music to more people throughout our community. It’s a testament to their commitment to the arts and the enrichment of our cultural landscape.”

The Springfield Symphony Orchestra extends its heartfelt thanks to The Ball Foundation for their significant contribution, which will help sustain the orchestra’s mission of bringing exceptional musical experiences to the Springfield community.
