The Ozark Mountain Daredevils are entering the home stretch of “When It Shines,” their final tour. Founding member Michael “Supe” Granda likes to say they’re “trying to land the plane.”
Fellow founder John Dillon wants to make sure the public knows this: “We’re not leaving the terminal.”
“We’re just going to be hard to hire,” Dillon said. “You just can’t sustain life on the road forever. People try to do it and, generally, it’s not so lovely an outcome. We would like to step back with a little grace and dignity, so we planned these (shows).”
The plane will land at the Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts Nov. 13-15, with the Ozark Mountain Daredevils Curtain Call Concert Series. Tickets start at $49 (plus applicable fees) with a limited number available for purchase in person at presenting sponsor Kaleidoscope through Feb. 20. Starting Friday, Feb. 21, tickets will be available through Hammons Hall. Special ticket packages will be available for fans who want to attend all three nights.
