For the second consecutive year, Springfield Symphony Orchestra is joining forces with the renowned Ozark Mountain Daredevils on August 19th at The Mansion Theatre for Performing Arts in Branson, MO.  Audiences can expect a whole new experience of listening to the OMD classics like Jackie Blue with a full orchestra behind the band.

Springfield Symphony Orchestra has been playing in Springfield since it was founded in 1934 and has been a musical foundation for the area in its almost 90 year history. The Symphony holds a full season of concerts every year as well as participates in community efforts to grow music education and appreciation with free concerts and outreach programs. The Ozark Mountain Daredevils are a country rock band that formed in 1971. They have always been indefinable in terms of music genres, producing sounds of country-rock and electric bluegrass all on the same record, writing lyrics both whimsical and poetic, singing harmonies, and playing to sold-out crowds across the United States.

“It’s so exciting to be hitting the stage together with The Ozark Mountain Daredevils yet again. We had such an immaculate response last year and knew we had to give this collaboration an encore,” say Jennifer Cotner-Jones, Executive Director of Springfield Symphony Orchestra. “The evening will have a vastly different feel than a lot of what we play during our season, so it is a fun opportunity for not only our audiences but our musicians as well.”

The Ozark Mountain Daredevils with the Springfield Symphony will appear for one night only and tickets can be purchased online at TheMansionTheatre.com, by calling 417-335-2000, or in-person at The Mansion Theatre for the Performing Arts box office (M-F 10am-4pm). VIP Seating is available. For more information, visit TheMansionTheatre.com
