The opening concert of the 78th season will be led by Andrés Franco. Franco is currently the associate conductor of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. He was previously the music director for the Philharmonia of Kansas City for six years. The concert will begin with Dvořák’s exhilarating "Carnival Overture." The orchestra will be joined by piano virtuoso Gleb Ivanov, and will perform Rachmaninoff’s "Piano Concerto No. 1." The evening will conclude with Ravel’s masterful orchestration of Mussorgsky’s "Pictures at an Exhibition."
