Our March classical concert, which features quick-paced, fiery tempos, will be lead by Kyle Pickett and will spotlight the 2012 Hellam Young Artists’ Competition winner, Kyle Orth. Pickett is currently the music director of the Juneau Symphony in Alaska and the North State Symphony in California. The evening will begin with Wagner’s swift "The Flying Dutchman Overture," and will be followed by Saint-Saëns’s powerful "Piano Concerto No. 2". The concert will conclude with Stravinsky’s innovative "Firebird Suite – 1945 version."
