Musgrave Community Balcony

In order to grow our Outreach efforts, the Springfield Symphony dedicated the entire Petite Balcony as a Community Balcony as of Spring 2018, now known as the Musgrave Community Balcony. This program is designated to serve youth or underserved people in the community in collaboration with partnering area nonprofits and schools. Each month this program provides people the chance to see the Symphony for free.

The Musgrave Community Balcony program was developed out of a vision to engage, enhance, and respond to areas of need in the community through our unique capacities. The goal of this program is to increase accessibility to the arts, particularly for youth and families who are disadvantaged by socio-economic, health-related and environmental factors. Each experience provided by this free ticket program is intended to evoke inspiration, healing, hope and learning.

SSO will allow a free ticket for one parent per child for classrooms/school groups which require parent chaperones. The Symphony partners with schools and local nonprofits to distribute tickets to underserved areas of the community in Southwest Missouri. Tickets for families with organizations are for immediate family members age 5 and up.
