Springfield Symphony/SDCO Conducting Workshop

Hosted by the Springfield (MO) Symphony Orchestra, Springfield-Drury Civic Orchestra, and Drury University, this workshop will provide aspiring conductors the opportunity to work with a professional chamber ensemble of Springfield Symphony musicians in a nurturing environment. Each participant will receive 25-30 minutes of podium time as well as a preparatory session with the workshop clinicians.

  • Saturday, February 24 (Drury Clara Thompson Hall)
    Orchestra Session 1: 9 a.m. - Noon
    Orchestra Session 2: 1:30 - 4:30 p.m.
     

Tuition

Workshop tuition is $450, payable upon acceptance.

Accommodation is at the discretion of each participant--there are many options within a 5 minute drive of the workshop site.  Please email Christopher Koch (ckoch@drury.edu) if you would like recommendations.
