JOHN STEINBERGJOHN STEINBERG, BOARD MEMBER

As a licensed Clinical Social Worker, Mr. John Steinberg directed the Wyoming State Department of Family and Children’s Services. He taught at the University of Wyoming and at Colorado Sate University in Fort Collins, CO, where he had a private therapy practice.  In Cheyenne, WY, he played in the symphony, served on the Symphony Board, and worked on the Search, Program, and General Fundraising Committees.  In Fort Collins he was also a member of the Symphony Board, worked as Chairperson of the Search Committee and served as President of the Board.  John and his wife, Darline, were both involved in the Fort Collins Young Artists Program and served on the Hosts, Transportation, Hospitality, and Fundraising Committees.

Since moving to Springfield in 200, John and Darline have supported and been a host family for the Hellam Young Artists Competition. John is again a member of the Symphony Board serving as Chairperson of the Artistic Committee. As a Social Worker, John serves as a consultant and trainer for the Missouri Department of Children’s Services and is currently teaching in the school of Social Work at MSU.
