EDWIN C. WATERS, BOARD MEMBER
Mr. Edwin C. “Ed” Waters, III served in the U.S. Army, 1st Calvary Division, Japan and as Staff Sgt., Division Band, two years. He received a Bachelor of Architecture from Washington University School of Architecture, St. Louis, MO. In February of 1962, Ed formed Marshall-Waters, Inc.-Architects, which became Marshall-Waters-Woody Architecture-Planning in February of 1979. He is a past State President of the Missouri Association of Registered Architects (MARA) and of the Springfield Chapter American Institute of Architects (AIA). He is a member and former Drum Major of Abou Ben Adhem Shrine Temple Band. Ed has held memberships with the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, Springfield Exchange Club, Springfield Contractors’ Association, Construction Specification Institute, AF & AM Masonic Order, Springfield/Greene County Library Board, and Ozark Gem and Mineral Society. He is a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Springfield, MO. Ed has two children; Jeanne Waters Hill, Interior Designer and owner of “Touché”/Springfield, MO and Dr. Edwin “Carey” Waters IV, M.D./Columbia, MO; as well as two grandchildren.
